I've been to Redtail Collective's space a handful of times over the past year, and have known some of its members for longer. The space itself is wonderful for the presentation of art in all media even having good wooden floors for dance (especially important since Open Floor, a sort of open mic for dancers and other movement artists relocated there.) The collective also includes phtographers, graphic artists, clothing designers, musicians, video artists, sculptors and other performance artists. Unfortunately, due to the unfriendly nature of Boston towards its artist community, Redtail, like Pan 9, has had to operate well under-the-radar with regards to the events it hosts. However, such under-the-radar work is just as important as the work done by those collectives and spaces that allow themselves a greater public presence, and we're all happy that they are there. - Ian , posted 01/09/05 |

I could try to express how amazing, versatile, warm, and energetic Redtail is, but I don't think I would do it justice.
