Boston based performance group, Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band & the Madcap Rumpus Society (www.ensmb.com), is recruiting talented artists, craftspeople and tech crew to work on our upcoming spring production. Through our signature blend of live music, theater & circus arts we're creating a land of gears and grime. In our post-apocalyptic world, absurdity is the weapon of a misfit resistance struggling against the conformist forces of a despotic ruler.
We are seeking someone to fill the very important position of Lead Costume Designer. The Costume Designer will work closely with the Producers & Director to coordinate the costume aesthetics of our characters and supervise all costume production staff for our show. Your job will be to assist us in executing our vision by organizing volunteers at various levels while overseeing and delegating a wide variety of production tasks. A certain amount of actual costume construction and clothing modification will also be required, but the most important responsibility of this position is to unify and supervise the design team.
Feel free to get in touch with any questions and to set up an interview! Please respond with info about yourself and your experience, as well as what interests you about this project.
An honorarium based on participation/responsibility level will be dispersed from the profits of the show.
