I'm going to be traveling for several months, and need someone to take my room in a really stellar 2 bedroom apartment located near Inman Square. It's a 10-12 minute walk to Harvard (I do it every day to get to the T), with bus service if you'd rather not walk. Tons of great restaurants and bars in nearby Inman and Union Squares. Two minutes to convenience store, wine/cheese shop, Dali restaurant, ATM, and a cute breakfast place.
The apartment is on the first floor of a two-unit building. Upstairs neighbors are a quiet couple - we never hear them. Free washer and dryer in basement, kitchen has dishwasher and gas range. Common spaces are the living room, dining room, and kitchen, and there's an entry hall with shoe shelves and a coat closet. All have beautiful wood trim original the the building. Pretty bathroom has nice, recently re-done tile. The whole place is in really good shape, with hard wood floors and lots of windows, which are brand new. There's a little back yard with a nice deck for when it's warm out. If you need storage, there's space in the basement.
The bedroom is 10.5 by 11 feet, plus decent sized closet, and can come fully or partially furnished with a double bed, book case, bed-side table, and dresser.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe - mostly grad students and couples. There's a park at the end of the street which is great in the spring and summer.
The other occupants of the place are my amazing roommate, a woman in her mid-twenties who works full time in addition to teaching belly dance and designing jewelry (one corner of the dining room houses her work bench), and my cat, who will be staying there while I travel. She's the sweetest cat on the planet, loves to be pet and played with, and is possibly cuter than anything you've ever seen. The roommate spends several nights a week at her boyfriend's place, so you'd have the place to yourself some evenings. When she is around, she will dazzle you with her charm and happily split a bottle of wine and a loaf of bread.
We're looking for a female with a reliable income. Grad students ok, but no undergrads please. Non-smoker, easy going, tidy, and sociable but not interested in throwing lots of big parties. The landlord will only allow one pet, so you must be sans animals.
Rent is $675/month. Parking is available on the street with a permit. Utilities (heat, electric, and high speed internet) are about $60-$65/month.
Move in date is flexible around March 1st. Move out date is flexible around August 1st. If you can't take the room for the entire five months, but can take it for four, that's also an option.
Message me to see more photos or to arrange to come see the space. Can't wait to hear from you!
