Hello good people:
I want to give you plenty of notice about this very special event coming up.
This April 9th, Dance Freedom will celebrate its 40th anniversary of providing a weekly dance...since 1968! Dance Freedom was the first of the international network of barefoot freestyle dances in the world (see www.dne.org). I danced at my first Dance Freedom event when I was a sophomore in College in 1970.
This will be a very special night. The 35th anniversary was awesome, the room was filled with incredibly sweet, vibrant energy (about 150 attended that night) and this will be even bigger and better. Special additional features are still in the planning stage. It promises to be the kind of experience that is worth planning a business or pleasure trip to Boston/Cambridge around.
First half music (7:30-8:50) will be provided by quite possibly my favorite DJ, long time Music Director and former President of Dance Freedom, my good friend, the fabulous Mark Haskins. Yours truly, Alkemi, will spin second half from 9:15-10:30). Mark and I both will be bringing the best of our best for this.
Plan to get to this one and bring your friends. This will be a slam dunk great time!
